The GTA Accountants Network and the GTA Finance Network invited me to speak on January 22, 2019. I presented on essential cross-border tax and estate planning issues facing Canadian persons in the US. My presentation focused on Canadian ownership of US real estate and covered topics including probate planning, incapacity planning, US estate tax, and the tax treatment of income and capital gains.
